Behold, the top 10 times Castle made us just DIE. In a last-ditch effort to distract a potential suspect, Castle lays into Beckett with a passionate, heart-melting kiss. Forever and ever, until the end of time, when I watch this scene I will weep. Sure, it took Beckett nearly dying in his arms for him to say it, but who cares! Be still my heart. And bring me a tissue.

· Because there was so much Castle and Beckett, we weren’t forced to endure too much of The Other Guys’ investigation into where the hell Castle and Beckett got off
Donna Kauffman November 5, 5: I understand everyone has to grow and evolve to keep the show fresh and relevant — I applaud that! Luckily, I think this is the week we might see that happen! On with the show! Which does, as it happens, open with a hook! And a plot twist! You said you wanted it to be special.
So much so that fans would rather the entire show come to an end than Beckett. Tonight that end came in the form of the Season 8 — and subsequently the series — finale, which was even more of a shock than the news that started the whole thing. And yes, consider very much those quotes sarcastic. It proved to be the final nail in the coffin of a program that had been so fun for six seasons, until it demonstrably lost its way the final two.

Monday, February 8, Castle Scoop! And in recent weeks, the hit procedural comedy has turned its focus on Katic’s character and her back story — mainly, her mother’s murder. They’ll definitely be dealing with it — probably not in the next couple of episodes. But I’m sure before the season’s end, we’ll get another big bombshell regarding that story line. There’s a lot of care, and he acts as a mentor and a wise, older character in her life.
I think that’s great because we get to see a more vulnerable side of Beckett. During the investigation, Beckett crosses paths with former New York Yankees and current Los Angeles Dodgers manager Joe Torre in a cameo , and the word star-struck doesn’t begin to cover her reaction. She was quiet as a mouse, and it was so adorable. My character gets a great moment to get geeked-out over meeting him, and I definitely was speaking on behalf of the entire crew in that moment.

Tuesday, October 8, TV Recap: Frankly, I felt all the characters were in the dark about what was really happening last night, which made things interesting. The episode actually takes place back in New York. And it featured the guys, although Beckett and her new partner, McCord, were certainly in it. It all starts with a jogger running through a construction site. As he is turned around, he spots a body hanging from a hook.
Meanwhile, Castle and Beckett are lying in bed talking. Then Beckett gets called into work and Pi starts making smoothies, driving Castle crazy. He needs to get out, and the news provides a great out when he sees the story about the murder. And behind the anchor, Castle can see Esposito and Ryan are working the case. He calls them, but they ignore his call — on live TV! Castle never gives up that easily and heads down to the crime scene. He meets the new detective at the precinct before finally talking his way onto the case.
Gates is less than enthused, but they are all not happy when Beckett and McCord show up and take over.
After the Storm
More a cross between Murder She Wrote and Moonlighting than a typical NYPD cop show, Castle has found a viewing audience that most other procedurals never will, largely because of the unquestionable charm of lead actor Nathan Fillion. For as much as Fillion is playing a character on Castle, he’s also leveraging that unique mix of self-effacing goofiness and straight-up niceness that makes him such an endearing actor. And that’s why people keep coming back:

I am an invisible man. You don’t know about me without you have read a book by the name of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer; but that ain’t no matter. Someone must have slandered Josef K.
